Problem:

Some freight customers may understate weights on a waybill. A fork lift operator taking load to the certified floor scale for verification is too time consuming and costly.

Solution

A Weighpoint Sentinel Percentile System was installed on a fork lift truck.

The lift truck operator simply enters the weight from the waybill into the on-board microprocessor. If the load lifted is a percentage over the acceptable range it is taken to a certified floor scale for actual weight determination.

Results:

The fork lift operator using the Percentile System no longer compared every lift to the weight on the way bill as the system automatically did that for him. The operator required minimal mathematical skills to perform this function. Therefore the company saved both time and money.
